Known on Twitter as @Oaklandlawyer, Élan Consuella Lambert, Esquire received her Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law and her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley.
Ms. Lambert was first appointed as an Administrative Law Judge in September 2010 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, assigned to the Division of Workers’ Compensation in Marina del Rey. Governor Jerry Brown later appointed Ms. Lambert to the Department of Social Services, Affordable Care Act Bureau and the Office of Administrative Hearings. Ms. Lambert is also a Hearing Officer for the Alameda County Assessment Appeals Board and conducts independent administrative hearings for local municipalities including Skelly Hearings.
Before her appointment, Ms. Lambert was a California State Bar, Certified Legal Specialist. A firm believer in volunteer work, she does extensive volunteer work with organizations that include the Alameda County Bar Association’s Volunteer Legal Services Corporation (VLSC), San Francisco Superior Court, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
First certified as an arbitrator by the Division of Workers' Compensation in 2008, Ms. Lambert provides insightful settlement conference, arbitration, mediation and hearing officer services, including Skelly Hearings.
Ms. Lambert's advanced training at The Department of Industrial Relations, The San Francisco Superior Court, the Department of Social Services and at the Office of Administrative Hearings has prepared her to handle complex cases and difficult situations.
Ms. Lambert conducts settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations and administrative law hearings including Skelly Hearings. She is also available to serve as a Special Master and has successfully monitored many cases.
